That’s a quote by Naval Ravikant, and it really sums up our approach to Story Shop.

Since our founding in 2020, we’ve collected a team of marketing and PR experts who know how the industry works. We’ve been on a mission to refine what we do, continuously improving to create the ‘Story Shop thing’. 

While we’ll always be committed to improvement as an agency, we’ve worked hard to get to where we are now. And we have our ‘thing’.

Our creative process

Creativity is at our core. It’s what we spend a lot of time doing for our clients - and it’s what shapes our approach, allowing us to earn great coverage that’s more than bread and butter PR.

It can look like immersion sessions with our clients, in-house Storyboarding sessions, small breakouts or after-work drinks. We believe the traditional agency model is broken, and most of us have worked in-house and agency side to experience this for ourselves.


PR gets a bit of a bad name


That’s why we believe PR agencies get a bit of a bad rep. It can be a big investment to make - especially if you’re not really sure what you got out of it. But we’re on a mission to change how people think of PR. Our secret? We’ve gone channel agnostic.


It’s all content


Press releases, TikTok videos, paid ads, out-of-home advertising - they’re all different channels that can be turned on to amplify a campaign. They work best together - so that’s how we operate.

Within the Story Shop team, there are twelve different perspectives, life experiences, skillsets and plenty of expertise to go around. When you work with us, you really do get the benefit of our collective knowledge and a campaign that can perform well across all platforms.


A truly 360 campaign


A good release can get solid coverage - and a social post can take off, but a package that has everything can take your campaign to the moon.

Stories can punch above their weight because of a creative photocall or clients appearing on BBC radio because our media package included soundbites. Our job is to give journalists, creators and consumers everything they need to buy into our stories. When that happens, PR truly makes a difference.

For us, it’s about treating the idea of how it ought to be treated. We start with the idea and then come up with the strategy which will help it reach its full potential. That could be a multimedia package for a journalist or an all-out hero video, like this.

We collaborate to develop a detailed, actionable plan with clear milestones, defining key performance indicators (KPIs) and success metrics to ensure a solid foundation.

We proactively pitch our publish-ready multimedia content, capitalise on trends, and generate new ideas to build a compelling narrative, generating buzz and interest across media channels while executing the strategy.

We monitor performance and gather feedback, regularly reviewing KPIs and outcomes to assess the effectiveness of our efforts and identify areas for improvement.

Then we refine and evolve our strategy based on key learnings and insights, ensuring ongoing optimisation and maximum impact of your PR efforts.
