BIG NEWS: Story Shop named best small PR agency in the UK

WHO’S THE BEST SMALL PR AGENCY IN THE UK?

Story Shop is…according to the PRCA, the Public Relations and Communications Association, the world’s largest professional PR body.

Their mission is to create a more professional, ethical, and prosperous PR industry. They champion professional standards around the world and make sure agencies adhere to the highest standards of ethical practice. Through their awards, they recognise the work agencies do by analysing impact, performance, methods and more.

At their 2023 UK Grand Prix awards, we were incredibly proud that they chose us as the UK’s Small Consultancy of the Year.

WHEN DID WE WIN THE AWARD?

On Thursday night, at The Westin London City. Winners from the four regions across the UK came together to compete in the Grand Prix 2023.

It’s been a really busy week with some big campaigns – including Kenny Logan’s Rugby World Cup Challenge for My Name’5 Doddie Foundation – in full swing, so we kind of forgot the awards were on…so it was an incredible buzz when we found out on Friday morning.

WHY DID WE WIN?

You’d have to ask the judges. This category was open to any consultancy up to 10 staff, whether multi-discipline or niche. Judges looked at evidence of financial performance, staff and client retention/acquisition, innovation, and implementation of creative ideas.

We’d like to think it’s because of some of the impact from our creative campaigns, like the Cairngorm Christmas Ad, the Lockdown Survey, Doddie Aid, and the launch of Kimpton Blythswood Square’s outdoor spa, as well as helping our clients like Matugga Rum and Puresport raise millions of pounds through Crowdfunding. Not to mention the pro bono work we’ve done for a whole host of charities, the growth of our team, and our creative approach to running an agency.

WHAT’S NEXT?

We’ve got some very big campaigns coming up for our clients. And of course, we’re going to take a little bit of time to celebrate – we’re off to Edinburgh for an impromptu team night out on Wednesday night.

Unfortunately, we won’t be able to win it next year, as there’s 12 of us now, but we’ll be pushing for more awards through the work that we deliver for our amazing clients.
